2009-03-30
On April 22, Wednesday at 11 a.m., the Presidential Palace (S. Daukanto a. 3, Vilnius) will open its doors to all who wish to get to know more about the President's institution and its activities. In continuation of the Open European Home tradition, the Press Service of the President and the Public Relations Division at the Office of the President will organize a special guided tour of the Presidential Palace.
The Open European Home project has the objective of promoting institutional openness, spreading democratic values, and providing information about EU policy priorities. This year, the guided tour of the Presidential Palace will be dedicated two important international events: the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain and the fifth anniversary of the accession of ten member states, including Lithuania, into the European Union. A special quiz will be held at the end of the guided tour.
We kindly invite all who wish to visit the Presidential Palace to register before 14 April 2009 by phone: + 370 5 243 0575 or e-mail: stagvilnius@europarl.europa.eu. Please have your ID document on arrival.
Specially organized guided tours will be also held the same day at the Seimas and Government of Lithuania, ministries, missions and representations of international organizations in Lithuania, and EU embassies.
