President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus presented letters of credence to Renatas Juška nominated as Lithuania's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Hungary. President Valdas Adamkus attended the opening of the 21st Annual Meeting of the European Academy of Childhood Disability "From Myth to Evidence", held under his patronage. President Valdas Adamkus offered his deep sympathy to President Nikolas Sarkozy and the families of those who perished in the tragic Air France plane crash in the Atlantic. President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus received members of the Honorary Council of the World Lithuanian Economic Forum (WLEF). On 2-3 July, the WLEF will have its third conference under patronage of the President of the Republic. The purpose of the Forum is to involve ordinary Lithuanians, businesspeople and economic experts from all over the world in the economic life of Lithuania, to strengthen their emotional bonds with Lithuania and to encourage them to engage in business in our country. President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus received representatives of the Trust Fund of the European Humanities University: Halldór Ásgrímsson, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Professor Anatoli Mikhailov, Rector of the European Humanities Universtity, and Evaldas Ignatavičius, Undersecretary of the Lithuania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. President Valdas Adamkus congratulated President Giorgio Napolitano of Italy on the occasion of Republic Day, extending best wishes for his personal well-being and for the prosperity of the people of his country. President of the Republic of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus had a telephone conversation with Vaclav Klaus, President of the Czech Republic currently holding Presidency of the EU. President Valdas Adamkus received Mr. Štefan Füle, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. |
